The Wet n' Wild Care Bears Collection is so adorable! I am a sucker for Care Bears themed stuff, so when I saw that this was coming out, I knew I had to snag some stuff. I ended up getting one of the glosses, the highlighter, blush, and of course that eyeshadow palette! Check out the video below to hear my thoughts and see swatches of everything!

I picked up the whole set from the Wet N' Wild Midnight Mermaid Collection - mainly because I was having so many issues with their website the day it went live and just wanted to get in and out before it crashed again - but also because it saves you money if you're wanting a bunch of things from the collection. It was $35 and if you bought everything on its own, it would have been about $59.
The first thing are the 3 metallic liquid liners:
Sea Symmetry is a green, Sea Dreams is a navy blue, and Trident's Shimmer is a gray.
I've never been a fan of their liquid liners - they're very sheer and these aren't really metallic like they say they are. You have to layer several coats to get it to be opaque, and the brush isn't the greatest either.
The metallic liquid eyeshadows are AWESOME! These were super exciting to me, because I don't own many makeup items like this.
Mysterious Nights - Black with silver sparkles
Lara's Necklace - deep green with green and blue sparkles
Moonlight Majesty - blackened purple with pink sparkles
Aquatic Prism - blackened aqua with purple and blue duochrome sparkles
These are all gorgeous, but Aquatic Prism is my favorite! I was bummed that mine doesn't have a stopper in it for some reason, so it's making a mess all over the wand, but it's so pretty I can't stand it! The downside with these is if you wear them all over your lid, they tend to crease and flake off throughout the day. I have been using them more as liquid liners, and they work GREAT for that!
Now, I know I took swatch pictures of the lipsticks, but for some reason right now as I'm writing this, I cannot find them. I'll have to come back to this to post them, but I really want to get this post up today!
Coral Crown - metallic copper
Harbor a Crush - metallic berry
Siren's Jewel - metallic deep green
Sea Seduction - metallic navy
The formula on these is the same as the regular Liquid Catsuit lipsticks, and they're seriously my favorite drugstore liquid lipsticks. These last for hours, only really need to be touched up after eating, and are comfortable and not drying.
Last but not least is the highlighting bar, which was the star of this collection and the thing everyone was freaking out over!
It has that cool mermaid tail pattern stamped into it:
It's a white gold with a bit of a gray tinge to it, and tiny pink sparkles in it.
Absolutely gorgeous if you use it with a light hand - but go overboard and you get an odd gray-ish cast on your face.
All in all, this collection was a hit for me. The only thing I don't find myself using is the liquid liners, but I went into it knowing I'm not a fan of them anyway. The whole set is a great deal if you love sparkle and glitter!

I am so late on the bandwagon for the Liquid Catsuit lipsticks from Wet n' Wild! I kept hearing great things about them but they were always out of stock whenever I found any displays of them. I finally ordered from the Wet n' Wild website and picked up the shade Rebel Rose to try it out.
Everything about the packaging is so similar to the Jeffree Star lipsticks, that was one of the first things I noticed. Even the applicator has the same little dip in the end of it to help hug your lips. These have no scent, so that is a good thing for those of you who hate scented lip products.
Rebel Rose is a deep pink shade, a great everyday color for me. I am blown away by this formula - it is by far the best drugstore liquid lipstick I've come across yet. It's super opaque, transfer proof, dries down matte, and doesn't dry out your lips. I thought sure these were going to be one of the "this is so pretty but it's killing my lips and I need to take it off" products, but nope - it's awesome!
I DEFINITELY recommend these if you like liquid lipsticks. For $4.99 you can't go wrong!

Wet n' Wild released their holiday collection, and the one thing that really stood out to me was this Gold Bar highlighter. It reminds me of the super expensive Charlotte Tilbury one, and I was interested to see how good this one was.

Wet n' Wild has a limited edition collection called The Silverlake Collection, which features some new 6 pan palettes. Now, I have a million Wet n' Wild shadows and hardly ever use them, so I limited myself to just one to try it out. This is the Embrace Obscurity palette, and it caught my eye because of the purples!

This is the Flirting at the After Party spring palette from Wet n' Wild, the purple counterpart to the more neutral Walking the Red Carpet palette that I also just reviewed. This one is going to be a huge hit with any purple shadow lovers!

The past few years, Wet n' Wild has come out with some pretty spring palettes. I couldn't get my hands on them last year, but the ones that came out this year were sent to me by one of my wonderful readers/viewers! This one is the more neutral of the two, and it's called Walking the Red Carpet. Let's have a look:

Though I was quite disappointed with the 5-pan Art in the Streets palette that I tried a few weeks ago, I was really interested in the new permanent 8-pan palette that Wet n' Wild introduced called Poster Child. It has a bunch of bright, fun colors and for some reason the 8-pans always seem to be of better quality.

Out of the new 5-pan palettes from Wet n' Wild, this one, "Art in the Streets," stood out to me the most so it is the one I picked up. The others just seem like different variations of colors they've done before. I feel like Wet n' Wild is going backwards in terms of eyeshadow quality. Their original 8-pan palettes were amazing, and even the limited edition ones that they released since then are great. Their trios are, for the most part, great quality too. These? A chalky mess. I don't know if it's because this is an all-matte palette, but they are not up to par with other Wet n' Wild shadows.

I'm always looking for a good mattifying product. My favorites are the De-Slick products from Urban Decay, but I am currently out of the powder version. When I heard that Wet n Wild came out with one in their Fergie line, I knew I had to give it a shot. And what I found is that it's pretty much the same thing as the pricier one!

I picked up 2 of these Fantasy Makers Painter's Palettes out of curiosity - I couldn't find these anywhere last year so when I spotted them this year I couldn't resist. I bought this one first just to try it (this one pictured above is called Wicked Queen) and was so impressed with the pigmentation that I got Femme Fatale about a week later.
Wicked Queen has a black, gray, navy, and red paint. What is a bummer is these say right on the cover not to put near your mouth or eyes, so that kind of defeats the purpose of using them as a face paint, doesn't it? I have tried Wet n Wild Halloween face paints in the past and they weren't very impressive. With this palette, I swatched it once and was like "whoa!" They really seemed to step up their game with the Halloween stuff, much like the rest of their makeup line lately.
One swipe of the black. It's not the blackest black ever, but it's very buildable. This is one swipe.
The gray is nice as well. All the colors in this palette are very creamy and blendable.
The navy is the only one out of the palette that can get a little patchy when applying.
And finally the red, the star of this palette!
Femme Fatale was the next one I wanted to try, just for that hot pink! Sadly, this one isn't as great as the first palette.
This one has a black, white, purple, and pink.
For some reason the black in this one is different than the one in Wicked Queen - this one seems more oily, so it doesn't apply as evenly. The white is nice, pretty pigmented with just one coat but is also buildable, which is good in a white makeup. The purple has poor pigmentation even with a couple of swipes. And the pink is the star color - definitely the most pigmented, easy to apply, and creamy.
So all in all, these are pretty nice to have on hand especially this time of year, and they're on sale almost all the time now at the drug stores. Even though the Femme Fatale black and purple aren't that great, I will get use out of the white and pink, so it's not a total fail.

I'm going to be starting a new series, both on my YouTube channel and here on the blog, called Color Raves. I'll be periodically posting about my favorite products of a certain color. If you guys have any color suggestions for what you'd like to see next, feel free to comment below! The first color is copper/burnt orange. Now for colors like red and pink I will obviously include lip products as well, but I can honestly say I have no copper colored lip stuff!
This first copper is from the Wet n Wild Shimmer the Night Away palette. It's a pretty true copper color, very smooth and pigmented:
While more of an orange than a copper, I felt I needed to include this one. It is Sugarpill's Asteria pigment, and it's a gorgeous orange with tons of gold glitter in it. I love the Sugarpill pigments because their colors are always bold. Even though loose shadows aren't the easiest to work with, these never give me trouble!
This one is from the Kat Von D Poetica Palette, and it's called Chandler. Another true copper color:
This is a Wet n Wild single shadow called Penny. It is a lighter copper, with sort of a peach sheen to it. Very pretty!
This is the only burnt orange I could find in my collection. It is from the Kat Von D Ladybird palette, and is a matte burnt orange. Perfect fall color!
This is a Tarte color called Charmer from the Tarte for True Blood Palette. (I tried to grab stuff that wasn't limited edition but looks like I failed at it!)
Next is NYX's Jumbo Shadow Pencil in Gold. I see it as more of a copper, so I decided to include it here. It makes an awesome base for metallic looks!
And lastly we have the Styli-Style eyeliner in Copper. These liners are like drugstore version of the Urban Decay liners - they have a huge color selection, and they apply smooth and creamy.
So that's it for the first Color Raves post - I hope you guys enjoyed it, and I hope you like this idea! Not sure how often I'm going to post these, but they are definitely a fun change of pace!
