Wet n' Wild Fergie Vicious Varnish High Shine Lip Stain in Ball in Vienna

The new Fergie lip stains are something I didn't even know about until I saw them in the display at the store. I picked up one because I wasn't sure how they would be, and ended up loving it! Let's see why...

The product is called Vicious Varnish High Shine Lip Stain and the color I picked is Ball in Vienna. It's a bright pink cream - no shimmer. As a matter of fact I'm not sure if ANY of the colors had shimmer - there were a lot to choose from and I didn't look at them all closely enough.

The top of the cap has the Fergie "F" monogram:

And the applicator is like a long, flattened doe foot. I actually like this kind because it tends to fit my lips better.

Now the product itself is pretty unique! It is a little thick but not sticky. It goes on feeling wet like a liquid lipstick, but once it dries it gives a nice shiny stain. It lasts a really long time (and the shine does too!) I went about 8 hours before I noticed any fading at all, and that was with eating and everything. It also has very little transfer - if you kiss the back of your hand you'll get a tiny touch of pink but after that, nothing. So I was very highly impressed with this stuff.

Another thing about it is that you can get it pretty opaque. Well, this color anyway! It is buildable but I find you don't need much product to get awesome color payoff. It has a very slight berry scent to it, pleasant but not overpowering.

I think these are what the MegaLast Liquid Lip Colors should have been - remember those? They came out last year and everyone seemed to hate them. I actually liked the matte ones, as long as they're used right. They were very sticky and hard to apply, because if you touched your lips together while it was drying, you'd end up with a clumpy mess. None of that happens with these - as a matter of fact, I'm going to go ahead and say this is a pretty perfect lip product considering it was only $3.49 (yet drug stores always have Wet n Wild sales!) and how well it performs. Definitely gets two thumbs up from me!
