OCC Stained Gloss in Concubine

No comments :
OCC recently launched their Dune Generation collection, and this color was just too nice to pass up. I had never tried any of their Stained Glosses before, so I thought this would be the perfect one to try out first!

OCC Lip Tar in Hollywood from the Plastic Passion Collection

No comments :
Hollywood is the one Lip Tar I picked up from the Plastic Passion collection. Not gonna lie, I wanted all of them but let's be real: I'm never going to wear the bright blue and probably wouldn't get much use out of the others, so I stuck with what I knew I would use. The Plastic Passion collection seemed to take forever to come out, so when it finally did I snagged this one up right away. I figured that this would be a great mixing shade/highlighting shade. And I was right!

OCC Lip Tars All-Star Minis

No comments :
This is the OCC Lip Tar All-Star Minis 4 piece set (there is a 12 piece set now available as well, that retails for $58). But this one is $20 and I think it's a hell of a steal. This was a total impulse buy for me when I was making an order from Sephora (I was lucky enough to get a friends and family code!) but for being something I bought on a whim, it's fast becoming one of my new favorite products. For one, if you're like me you realize you're never going to go through a full sized tube of Lip Tar. It's impossible. Full sizes are .33 oz and you literally need so little of it that it's going to take forever and a day to use up a tub unless you're a makeup artist that's very busy and uses the same color a lot! These mini tubes are 0.08 oz and that is PLENTY of product when it comes to this stuff. I doubt I'll even go through all of these, but in a smaller size it seems like you are wasting less!

OCC Lip Tar Minis!

No comments :
This is genius. Lip Tars in MINI form? I personally am never going to use the Lip Tars I have before they go bad, because you need the TINIEST amount - I use them all the time and haven't made a dent yet. So, smaller size = smarter unless you're a busy makeup artist using them constantly.

This set is available at Sephora HERE for $20. It includes:
Memento (pink plum neutral)
NSFW (primary red)
Anime (vibrant neon pink)
Black Dahlia (blackened red)
And also includes one of their brushes.

If this isn't enough for you, on October 22nd they'll be releasing a 12 PIECE set on the Sephora website that will be available for I believe $58. It's an awesome way to try out a bunch of different lip tars and not have to worry about not using them all up (or maybe you still won't use them up, but at least you won't feel as guilty!)

What do you guys think of the minis? I think it's a great idea!!

OCC Lip Tar in Nylon

No comments :
Nylon is a super neon pink. It is even brighter in person than it is in these pictures - for some reason it doesn't seem like any of my cameras can capture its true color! This is only the second Lip Tar I've ever tried - the other one I have is a metallic one, Electric Grandma, so I was looking forward to trying one of the regular formulas.

This color seems pretty matte when it dries, and I find that it dries out my lips a little bit, which the metallic Electric Grandma doesn't do.

I really love this color for spring/summer, as I have been loving neon lips - especially pinks. I can deal with the fact that it's a little bit drying because it is so pretty! Again, love the fact that you get a ton of use out of these babies because you need the tiniest drop to coat your whole lips! But the only downfall, for me personally, is the peppermint - I am such a hater of peppermint scented/flavored lip products. I don't know why that is. I don't totally hate peppermint - I like peppermint candies - it just irks me when it's on my lips and I can smell it for some reason. One of my many quirks, I guess!
I show/apply the lip tar in this video:
