Tokyomilk Dark Lip Elixir in Salted Caramel
I am late in trying this but have heard so many rave reviews. I decided to pick up the Salted Caramel flavor, though there are a bunch of different ones to choose from. While I love the product, I think the packaging is going to hinder me from ordering more. Let's have a look!
This comes in a tin. A really big tin, you get tones of product - I liked that right off the bat. What I don't like is that it's absolute hell trying to OPEN the tin! It doesn't twist, so you have to pry the lid off. Even my husband had a hard time getting it open. So I pretty much have to leave the lid loosely on, otherwise I can't open it. If there is a trick to this please let me know, because it's ridiculous!
Once you do get it open, the balm itself smells delicious. Exactly like warm caramel. It is thick and moisturizing, but not sticky at all. I love using this as a night treatment because my lips are always super soft when I wake up. It doesn't have much shine to it, so it doesn't even look like you have lip balm on when wearing it.
I've found that a very light layer of this is awesome under matte lipsticks. It's very protective without feeling like Vaseline or anything. I love this stuff, just wish they would put it in a different jar!
