Kat Von D Shade + Light Eye Palette

No comments :
It's here, it's finally here! The Kat Von D Shade + Light Eye Palette. I think this is going to be the new "it" neutral palette, for sure. The shades are all richly pigmented and you can go from light daytime looks to dramatic night time looks just using this one palette. Let's have a look ...

As usual, the shade names are on the back. And once again my blog refuses to put the picture horizontally.

It has a giant mirror like her past few palettes have had, 3 base shades and 9 smaller shadows.

First we'll talk about the base shades. Laetus is a nude cream:
Lazarus is a cool taupe:
Ludwin is a peachy bronze:

Now for the other shadows, they are set up in 3 little sets of a contour shade, a highlight shade, and a define shade, but of course you can use them however you like!

Samael is a dusty fawn:
Solas is an espresso:
Lucius is a soft beige:
Saleos is a smoky brown:
Shax is a jet black:
Liberatus is a pink toned ivory:
Succubus is a rich rust:
Sytry is a chocolate brown:
Latinus is a golden bisque:

From left to right: Samael, Solas, Lucius, Saleos and Shax:
Liberatus, Succubus, Sytry, and Latinus:

Every one of these shadows is very pigmented and blends easily. I noticed that they're not as soft/powdery as her past few paletttes but are still just as pigmented. I also really enjoy that the light shades here are so pigmented without being chalky like most cream/white shadows are.

I think that this is a must-have for any makeup arsenal. A neutral palette full of mostly matte shades (I noticed Laetus and Lucius have more of a satin finish) is just a great addition. Do I have plenty of neutral palettes? Sure, but one from Kat Von D can't hurt!
