NARS Dual Intensity Blush in Adoration

2 comments :
I am a huge lover of the NARS Dual Intensity eyeshadows, so when I hear they were making blushes, I got a little excited. I was not excited that they are $45 a piece, but NARS is pricey to begin with. I really wanted to try at least one, so I picked up the one that stood out to me most, Adoration.

Adoration includes a really light baby pink that makes for a great highlighter, and a bright hot pink that can be a little crazy if you don't watch how much you're applying.
Like the Dual Intensity shadows, this can be applied wet or dry. I don't really see the appeal of applying blush wet, but whatever floats your boat I guess. I chose this one because I like that you can either blend the 2 shades together or use the lighter one as a highlight and the darker one as a blush.

The lighter of the two shades is a very pale almost-white pink. It's so light that it can definitely be used on its own as a highlighter.
The darker shade is very bright and you have to be careful to not apply too much of it. If you do it lighthanded, it gives a gorgeous flush of pink to your cheeks.

Here is the light shade - on the left it is dry, on the right it is wet. I noticed it gets slightly lighter when applied wet. Definitely pigmented either way you apply it. It's a very shimmery super pale pink.

Here is the darker shade, again dry on the left and wet on the right. I don't see too much of a difference with this one and the way it applies when it's wet as opposed to dry. As you can see, it's a pretty intense pink shade with some shimmer in it. The shimmer in this one is not as intense as the lighter shade.

I really think this is a great blush, despite the fact that it is pretty pricey. NARS has always been one of my favorite brands for blushes, and this one is even better than the ones in their normal line, I have to say. It lasts all day long and doesn't fade, I love it. There are 6 blushes to choose from and they range from super light to pretty dark, so there's a little something for everyone!

I talk more about the blush and do live swatches in this video:
