The Balm Hot Mama Blush
The Balm is always on sale on Hautelook, and while I love the deals on there I cannot stand waiting and waiting....and waiting when it comes to their shipping time. However, this one took a tremendous amount of time to get to me, as I ordered it at the beginning of March and just recently got it. Hautelook's customer service was nice about it though, and refunded me the shipping cost. But enough about shipping woes, let's talk blush!
Kind of weird, but it arrived with spots on it, almost like it got wet or something:
At any rate, I kind of sweeped the top layer off and it seems fine.
If you are familiar with NARS blushes, Hot Mama is like Orgasm and Deep Throat had a baby (sounds ridiculous but hey, I didn't name the blushes!!)
It is a peachy shade of blush with a golden shimmer to it. To me it's a very summery color - I'll definitely be getting a lot of use out of it!
The blush is super smooth and easily belndable. I compared it to NARS but honestly, this one is far more pigmented than the NARS blushes. You need to be lighter handed with it so you won't overdo it!
Just for comparison, the top swatch is Hot Mama, the middle is NARS Deep Throat and the bottom is NARS Orgasm:
See? Pretty similar! I've definitely been enjoying this blush and would love to grab another the next time Hautelook has The Balm on there. It is a flash sale site, so the sales only last a few days - it's best to get the emails so you know what to order before it's gone!
