Muylinda Collection Lipsticks

No comments :
I have a nice colorful treat for you, just in time for spring! That's right - fun colored lipsticks that won't break your bank. I was contacted by Muylinda Collection to review some of their lipsticks and as soon as I saw the awesome colors they had, I knew I had to try them out.

They sent me 4 colors, which are all bright and colorful! Their packaging is simple yet cute - clear crystal caps with diamond designs on the top, and black bases that have that same diamond design all the way around.

The first color is Lemon Lust, a bright yellow:
As far as yellow lipsticks go, this was far more pigmented than I expected it to be:
I think because it is such an odd color though, it applies pretty patchy/chalky looking. It doesn't help that my lips are dry, but I find this color to be more of a "mixing" shade, one that I can blend with other shades of lipstick (which I will show you at the end of this post!)

The next color is Purple Pumps, a bright violet:
This is definitely a color that can be worn on its own, as I know a lot of people love a purple lip. I really like the intensity of this one, and it has great pigmentation.

Next up is Mula, a bright spring green:
This one, like Lemon Lust, can be a little chalky looking but it is a fun color. Not many people would go out with straight up green lips, but it's always good to have odd colors for Halloween/costumes/etc!

Last but not least is my favorite, Pink Sundae, which is a hot pink:
I love pretty much any shade of pink lipstick, so it's no surprise that this one was my favorite!

All of the lipsticks apply very creamy and aren't sticky at all. They are only $5.99, which is a great price considering a lot of Indie companies start at $10 and up. They don't have a scent to them, which is worth mentioning. They feel good and even provide a bit of moisture. The yellow and green apply a little patchy, but I didn't have any issues with the pink or purple. I was most impressed with the wear time, as I didn't notice any fading until after 5 hours or so. They can be easily mixed together to create new colors, as I will show you....

Here applied Lemon Lust to my lips, and then a layer of Pink Sundae over it to create this pretty peach shade:

And then I applied Pink Sundae with a layer of Purple Pumps over it to create a purply pink shade:

The possibilities are endless when it comes to mixing lipstick colors and because these are so creamy, they blend together with very little effort. Perfect lipsticks for creating ombre lips as well!!
