Cate & Chloe Review!

No comments :
This is a bit of a different review from my normal makeup and skin care stuff, but I was contacted by Cate & Chloe (cateandchloe.com) to review their V.I.P. membership. They also gave me a discount code for you guys, so keep on reading for all the info!

Cate & Chloe is a jewelry company that sells some pretty gorgeous things. While they do have a good variety, I noticed there are a lot of silver pieces which I loved, because I'm not a huge fan of gold, personally. They have bracelets, earrings, necklaces and rings. I was going through the site, I found everything to have a very elegant and feminine feel.

The V.I.P. box is a subscription service in which you will receive 2 pieces of jewelry each month valued at $200. The cost of the box is $39.99 per month. They have month-to-month subscriptions, or prepaid subscriptions where you can pay for 3 months, 6 months, or a whole year at  time.

The box itself comes in a mailing envelope, and inside (though wrapped much fancier than this!) was a white package with black and silver ribbons wrapped around it. I failed to take a picture before I opened it and then couldn't get it to look as nice as they had it, so the ribbons underneath the box are my poor attempt at making it look as fancy as they originally had it lol!
Inside was some cute black and white tissue papers, along with a very nice jewelry box:
When you sign up for the box, you will receive and introductory package with a free gift - that is what I received and what I am reviewing for you.
I received this gorgeous necklace that, oddly enough, matches my wedding ring perfectly!
On their site it is called the Layla "Beauty" Pendant Necklace. It says it is silver plated with cubic zirconia, and retails for $115.
The pendant itself is very dainty and not overly bold. I believe it is called a "halo" setting, since the main stone is in the middle and the smaller stones surround it. This looks exactly like my wedding ring and that is the only reason I know the term for it lol! This necklace is the perfect compliment to a dressed up outfit for a night out or special occasion. It's definitely not something I'd wear every day, I feel like it's too fancy for that and I might lose it!

The stones sparkle like crazy - the camera can't do it justice. The necklace chain itself is sturdy and not flimsy feeling. It has a clasp that also feels like it is good quality and sturdy. All in all, I didn't know what to expect when I received the box, and was very pleasantly surprised!

If you are interested in trying out the V.I.P. box, they have given me a 20% off code for your first months' box! Just use the code MakeUpOn20 at checkout. Here is the link to get right to the signup page: https://www.cateandchloe.com/Articles.asp?ID=271 Keep in mind that the code will ONLY work on month-to-month subscriptions, and not the prepaid ones.
