Maybelline Fit Me Shine-Free Foundation Stick
This foundation seemed interesting to me so I figured I'd give it a shot. You can't beat the $7 price tag, especially now that drugstore foundations seem to be getting more and more expensive. I've never been big on stick foundations, the application can be a little iffy, but the Shine-Free promise on this one lured me in.
I got it in the shade 120, which seems to be a perfect match for my skin tone. That little circle in the center is the shine-free product.
I first tried blending this with my fingers, but it was a no-go. The product looks streaky on your face when you do it that way. So I have been applying it to small areas at a time and blending it out with my Real Techniques stippling brush. This method seems to work rather well for me!
So, the verdict on the product: it is a very light coverage foundation. Even when I tried to build it, it didn't help much. It is definitely more for those who don't have much that they want to cover up, or for those who want a nice light foundation for summer. It gives you a very natural looking finish - it's not super matte like most oil-free foundations can be.
And more good news is, it lasts all day! I haven't had any problems with it, and it definitely does a good job controlling shine. By the end of the day I start to get shiny, but for the most part it is a pretty good little product. It works perfectly when I set it with the Fit Me powder as well.
