Urban Decay Eyeshadow in Uncut

No comments :
There is a lot to say about this little shadow. When I started seeing swatches of all the new Urban Decay shades on blogs, this was the only one that really stood out to me. It's so unique, so pretty, but very very hard to work with!!

You can see how different lighting makes it look totally different - that's probably because there's so many colors within the shadow. It is a very very deep purple, but has multicolored sparkle throughout.

It swatches well with a finger swatch, but then most of the shadow sticks to you finger after you swipe it. Shadows like this are always very hard to blend, and that is the case with this one. It's almost...chunky, I want to say - in order to get the full effect of the color on your lid, you need to pack it on with a stiff, flat brush - otherwise you just get a dull dark purple shade when you blend it on the outer corners or anywhere else on your eyes.

Swatched without flash and with flash. This shadow was a huge disappointment for me because all the new-formula versions of UD shadows I've tried so far have been awesome. Take the Glinda palette, for instance: awesome shadows. I thought this one would be the same way but it just feels dry and powdery and I hate that I have to work so hard to get it to look decent. Huge letdown!!
