Urban Decay Oz The Great and Powerful Palette: Glinda

No comments :
This little baby came in the mail the other day and I just have to do a post about it! It is the Urban Decay Oz palette in Glinda. I picked this one because to be honest, I can dupe all of the colors in the Theodora one with stuff from my collection and it just seemed too neutral for me. This one was way more unique/pretty! I will say that though the packaging of this one is very pretty (it looks like rainbow-ish clouds!) the Theodora one just looks cooler - it has a black border and bright rainbow colors.

Here's a shot of the inside of the palette - it is the same as their "build your own" palettes where the shadows pop in and out, which is a neat idea but I find it to be annoying. It might just be me but everytime I took one out to see the name on the bottom while I was filming my video about it, I ended up sticking my finger in one of the shadows lol.
These are the shadows, without flash on the top and with flash on the bottom. You get 6 shadows but technically 8 colors, as 2 of the shadows are duos. The shadows, in order, are:
Tornado: A deep shimmery purple
Aura: A duo - one shade is a blueish duochrome, the other is an orange-peach duochrome
Magic: This one is awfully close, if not the same as "Tainted" in the UD Anniversary palette. It is gorgeous - looks pink in the pan but swatches more of a lavender pink with slight gold shimmer.
Illusion: Makes a gorgeous highlight color for lighter skintones. It's a shimmery peach.
Oz - Another duo, one side is a gold with Urban Decay's infamous "chunky glitter" that you either love or hate. The other side is a nice silver.
South - probably my favorite in the palette, it is a deep shimmery taupe color.

The palette also comes with a half-sized 24/7 Glide-On Pencil in Rockstar, which is an almost-black purple color. And you also get a full size Super Saturated Lip Pencil, called "Glinda" (but it's really just the "Naked" shade renamed for this palette). Everything is swatched below with and without flash!

Tornado, the 2 Aura shades, Magic, and Illusion:

The 2 Oz shades, South, the Rockstar liner, and the Glinda lip color:

I think that even though this set is pricey, you get a great deal for what you are paying. The build your own palette and each shadow are $18, plus you get the liner and a full sized Super Saturated pencil which normally costs $19. So if you bought all this stuff individually, it would cost well over $100. I hope you all enjoyed my review, definitely pick up one of these palettes before they're gone!!

Here is my video about this palette:
