KVD Vegan Beauty Shake Primer

The new KVD Vegan Beauty Shake Primer is crazy looking, so it peaked my interest as soon as I saw it! It is an oily looking, separated primer that is clear on top and black on the bottom. When you shake it, it makes this liquidy gray mixture. There's a little rubber button on the bottom that helps you dispense the product. But honestly, you only need the slightest touch because it slides right out.
When you shake it, you have to be quick in applying because it separates in the bottle again almost immediately. The way I've been doing it is I dispense one drop, do one eye, shake it up again, and then get another drop for the other eye. After uploading a video to my youtube channel, I was informed that you only need one drop for BOTH eyes, which makes the application a little easier and you won't have to shake it between each eye.

It is tricky to get it to stay on your finger because it wants to just slide right off. My biggest gripe with this product is that I wish the packaging were a little different. Maybe something that you could dispense directly onto your lid, with a brush or something. It's easy to waste product when it just wants to slide off of your finger.
Once you apply it, let it dry and it becomes tacky, and then you can apply your shadows. This stuff is AWESOME! If it weren't for the packaging, it would be a perfect 10/10 for me. I was initially worried it wouldn't work for me because it looks so oily, but when you apply it, it really just feels like water. I have very oily eyelids, so I am happy to report that this works, and works well. It goes on clear and grabs eyeshadows like nobody's business. It even works well with the heavier, flaky glitter type shadows because it grabs so well.

Sometimes with darker matte shades, it will want to grab TOO well and you might have some issues with blending. To fix that, I just use a matte shade similar to my skintone first, and then put whatever matte shade on top of that to help everything blend more smoothly.

Wear time is awesome as well - at the time of me writing this it is summer and super hot, so my eyeshadow usually wants to melt off by the end of the day. I haven't had that happen yet with this primer! At $22 it's pricey, but a little goes such a long way that I think this will last a long while and be worth it. I hope in the future they will change up the packaging because it is super inconvenient, but the product itself is great!
