ColourPop Making Mauves Palette
Before I even get started I just want to say I hope everyone is staying safe and healthy. The world is crazy right now!
Today I've got the ColourPop Making Mauves palette to swatch for you. This is a mauve lover's dream!
Just seeing the colors in the pans don't really do this palette justice. They are SO MUCH PRETTIER when swatched!
R&R is a pale matte pink.
Solitaire is a pale matte beige.
Big Moves is a pale matte lilac.
Bicoastal is a metallic pink toned champagne.
A La Mode is a metallic mauve with silver and copper micro sparkles.
Mauve On Up is a metallic icy rose.
Tongue Tied is a matte mauve with silver and violet micro sparkles.
Marquee is a matte deep plum.
Big Fig is a matte dusty lavender.
These colors (especially those metallic) are beautiful! I find A La Mode to have a sort of chunky texture and Mauve On Up is a little bit dry, but they both perform well. You may have a bit of fallout with A La Mode as well, I would definitely recommend using a stickier base with that one. Marquee also requires a bit of a sticky base, as it has the tendency to go on patchy but can be built up nicely if it has something to grab onto. I really like this palette as a whole, and you can definitely create a ton of looks with it!
