Kat Von D Rock Candy Studded Kiss Lipstick Set
I could NOT resist the new Rock Candy Mini Studded Kiss Lipstick set from Kat Von D! It's been a while since I've even bought a regular lipstick because I've been so obsessed with liquids, but I knew I had to have this. At $45 I consider the price a bit steep, considering how her mini lipstick sets around the holidays have always been cheaper than that, but they have limited edition colored packaging, so I guess that warranted the price hike? Whatever the reason for it, the whole set looks gorgeous!
You get 6 colors in this set, and the colors of the tubes match the lipstick shade inside! I kind of wish all lipsticks were like this - would save a lot of searching when you're looking for the right one :) Each lipstick is 1g, or 0.035 oz.
Zero is a cool toned gray. I have to say, I didn't think I would like this one on me, but I really love it! It's one of those "weird" colors that still seems pretty wearable.
I've got to apologize for the blurriness here - I think it's time for a new camera!!
Ozzy is a purple-fuchsia shade.
Definitely one of the most wearable purple shades I've ever owned!
Roxy is more of a deep violet.
It's much more blue toned than Ozzy, and very bold!
Crush is a perfect hot pink.
It reminds me a lot of MAC's Candy Yum Yum.
Babe is a neon pink.
This is one of the brightest pinks, ever!
Last but not least, Ziggy is a neon coral shade.
I believe Kat describes it as a neon watermelon shade, and that's pretty accurate! It's so crazy and bright, I love it.
All of the shades are super smooth and creamy. The only one that needs a second coat is Zero, but even then it's super smooth. They all have the same Creme Brulee scent as the other studded kiss lipsticks, which I also love. They are limited edition shades, but Zero has been getting so much love in the beauty community, I have a feeling this isn't the last we'll see of it!
