Stila Magnificent Metals Glitter & Glow Liquid Eye Shadow in Kitten Karma

No comments :
When I first saw swatches of these new Stila liquid eyeshadows, I knew I had to try one. I was tempted to grab more than one, but I've never been the biggest fan of Stila products, so I told myself to just try one at first. I'm glad I did just that, because there is no way I'll be buying another of these! Let me explain...

I have to say right off the bat, it's gorgeous. I picked the color Kitten Karma because I have had their Kitten eyeshadow in the past and really loved the color - it goes with anything! This glitter is that same champagne shade, and the actual liquid shadow part is that color as well.
The applicator is sort of an elongated doe foot - very soft and makes it easy to apply the product. The problem is within the product itself. It dries pretty fast, but as soon as it dries, it starts flaking off. It's like there's no adhesive in it whatsoever to help the glitter actually stay on your lids. I end up with glitter all under my eyes after only wearing it for an hour. And if you touch any of it by accident - say, to itch the corner of your eye or something - it will come off on your finger. If they could reformulate them to make them budge-proof, they would be top notch, two thumbs up, holy grail glitter shadows for me. However, it just makes such a mess that it's not worth the $24 price tag for me. I get much better results using a loose or pressed glitter with a glitter adhesive.

See how pretty it is?! SUCH a bummer that it didn't work out for me. I had high hopes! Let me know if you've tried any of them and what your experience has been, because I'm curious. I heard so many people rave about these, I'm wondering if I'm just doing something wrong!
I picked up mine from Ulta, and they have an "Ulta Exclusive" shade there (light pinky color) but they also have them on Sephora. It just depends which store you want points for!
