When Jeffree Star announced that he was doing highlighters, I had high expectations because he is always so glowing and radiant! Ice Cold really spoke to me because it's straight up white, and that seemed like the end all be all for pale people highlighters haha! I made sure to grab this one as soon as they went on sale!
The pink packaging is very Jeffree. The fact that you get this giant amount of product for $29 is pretty good as well! I feel like this is more than I will ever go through, but I also feel like I'm getting my money's worth. These are 15g of product, which is a LOT!
It also has a nice clear mirror, which I for some reason failed to photograph LOL.Now for the formula, it's hard to describe it and not exactly what I was expecting. I was sort of expecting it to be like the Becca face products - super buttery and high end feeling. This texture is a lot drier, yet seems like a cream product? It's weird! When I swatch it with my finger, more product sticks to my finger than actually transferring to my skin, and when using a brush I find the same thing - it wants to stick to the brush. That being said, I do really love the color and it looks so pretty on the cheekbones! It was a little bit of a learning curve to work with, but I don't think it's too big of a deal.
I did a swatch on the left and then blended it on the right. As you can see, it doesn't blend out much, and I think that's because of the consistency of it. It acts like a cream product so it takes a little bit of work to blend it out. Other than that, I think this is one of the best pale skin colors and I am loving the shade! I'm curious to see what his next 4 colors are going to be, though I know he sneak peeked a purple which seems odd, and there's talks of a black for Halloween? I don't know how a highlighter can be black, but I guess we'll find out!
