Protect Your Skin the Smart Way with SmartStuff!

Today I have a couple of natural skin car products to talk about from a brand called SmartStuff. There is an insect repellent and an SPF 30 sunscreen.

The insect repellent comes in a 4 oz. spray bottle. It helps to repel mosquitoes and deer ticks and is Deet free. The one downside to this is that it has a very strong scent to it, but it fades away after a few minutes. It says to reapply every 1-2 hours. It's not super mosquito season here yet, but I did use this the other night when I was outside until late, and didn't get bitten by anything so I would say that's a good thing! For some reason I am always the one to get bitten even if I'm with a large group of other people who don't get bitten once!

The sunscreen comes in a 4 oz. squeeze tube. It is mineral based, has an SPF of 30, and has no scent whatsoever. It applies like a white cream but of course dissolves into the skin clear. It says to reapply at least every 2 hours, or every 40 minutes if you're in the water or sweating. Luckily we have had a couple of sunny days since I received this and was able to test it out. I can tell you I burn very easily because I'm so pale, and this kept me protected even though I was outdoors all afternoon. No burns! 

I do love that it doesn't have a scent to it, because most sunscreens are very heavily scented and tend to give me a headache. That is a huge plus for me, and the fact that it is natural and mineral based. I even used this on my face and it didn't make me feel super greasy. This one definitely gets a thumbs up from me!
