Kat Von D Lock-It Color Correcting Eyeshadow Primer

No comments :
A new primer from Kat Von D in stick form? I had to try it! They are called Lock-It Color Correcting Eyeshadow Primers. I picked up the shade Fair, and it seems like a pretty good match for my skin.

The idea with these is they are supposed to work like concealers, hiding any imperfections or discoloration you may have on your lids/around your eyes. Fair is the lightest, then there's light, medium, tan, and deep.
It has the "KVD" insignia in silver on the cap, and the bottom twists the product up.
It is not as creamy as I expected it to be - it goes on and you can barely feel it, it's so lightweight. It blends out nicely and is slightly tacky so it works well with loose shadows.

It is very close to my skin tone so I'm not sure how great of a swatch this is, but it does correct any veins/discoloration on my lids. Sad to say, I have oily lids so this doesn't last a full day on me, but I did make it a good 8 hours before creasing happened. While it's not as good as my old faithful, UDPP, it's decent enough to where I will use it when I know I don't have to be out all day long.

If you have normal or dry lids, this will be great for you. I like it despite my oily lids - the tackiness is nice because I like to use loose shadows a lot and I'm not always wanting to use an extra product (sticky base/glitter glue) on top of my eye primer to get it to stick. This definitely eliminates that step for me if I'm in a rush. So the upside is that it's tacky and good for loose shadows, conceals any discoloration, and is super lightweight. Downside? Creases eventually on oily lidded people like myself!
