ColourPop Ultra Matte Lip Liquid Lipsticks

2 comments :
I was lucky enough to grab some of the ColourPop Ultra Matte liquid lipsticks the night they went on sale. It was craziness because the site kept crashing, and it took me exactly 56 minutes of trying to finally get my order through, but it finally worked and I was able to order before they all sold out. I should mention that these are permanent items and WILL be restocked, so keep checking their site and follow them on Instagram for updates!

I got 6 shades and I've got to say, I like them all! I'll show you the swatches first before getting into the formula and everything else. If my lips look red and these aren't the best swatches, it's because I had just filmed my swatch video for these and realized I had to re-swatch all the colors on my lips because I didn't take photos for the blog. My lips were killing me by the time I was done!

First up is Mars. This is a bright hot pink:

Then we have Tulle, which is a brownish mauve. I thought this would be more of a berry color, but I still like it quite a bit.

Succulent is a super bright red with a slight pink tone to it:

Koala is a bright lavender:

Trap is that cool greige color with a slight pink tone to it. It's very close to LA Splash's Ghoulish, but more of a pink where Ghoulish is more gray.

Last but not least is Midi, a pinkish nude. This is just a tinge darker than Jeffree Star's "I'm Nude" so it's a pretty good dupe!

Now for the details. These. Are. AWESOME! Especially for $6, you can't beat them. They go on creamy and dry super fast. They are totally matte and kiss proof, and feel like you aren't even wearing anything on your lips. I usually touch up after eating, but for the most part they have awesome staying power. I do need to use an oil based makeup remover to easily get them off at the end of the day, so I recommend the Oil in Gel Lipstick Remover from Sephora!

All in all, these are a great product at a super affordable price. I definitely recommend picking one (or a few!) up when they come back in stock!
