Serendipity Beauty Review

No comments :
A few weeks ago I told you guys I would be doing a review on Serendipity Beauty's skin care and told you about them being available on Hautelook - that post is here if you want to check it out. Hopefully they will be on there again from time to time, because the prices were great!

They were kind enough to send me 5 products to review for you and I wanted to make sure I got a good idea of how they worked and got to experience them before writing up my review for you all. Without further babbling from me, here we go!

First is the Skin Refining Black Mask.
This is very thick and very sticky. When I initially opened it and gave it a sniff, it reminded me of that ready-made cake decorating icing that they sell in all different colors. I have to laugh because I feel like I'm smearing frosting on my face when I use it lol! This is a peel off mask, which is really nice. You apply it, let it dry for 8-10 minutes, and peel it off, then rinse away any excess with warm water. It feels cool and relaxing while it's on your skin, and it is very easy to peel off. My skin always feels soft and clean after I use this, and I like it quite a bit! Skin correcting benefits include:
  • REFINED SKIN TEXTURE - Peel-off formula effectively lifts old skin cells and smoothes rough texture, while Panadoxine, a vitamin B6 derivative, refines pores, without over drying skin surface.
  • RADIANCE- Vitamin C helps to brighten skin and suppress formation of brown spots that make skin appear dull.
  • NOURISHED, PHYSICALLY FIT - Bee Propolis and a Multi-Mineral Complex help nourish and strengthen skin from within.
I took this picture to try and show you how thick the formula is. You get a 3oz. tube and I really think it will last a while because you don't need much to cover your whole face in a good layer of it!

Next we have the Pore/Excess Oil Reduction Heroic Specialist Serum.
This is probably my favorite product out of the things I was sent. I have pretty oil skin as you may have heard me mention in past reviews, and this stuff has amazed me.
It has this little pump on the end that you press a couple times before you use it. The applicator is a rollerball. It contains 5 oz. of product. A list of the benefits:
  • ANTI-BACTERIAL PEPTIDE - A patented anti-microbial peptide treats inflammation and the p.acne bacteria associated with oily, blemish-prone skin.
  • WHITE WILLOW BARK EXTRACT – A natural and gentle form of Salicylic Acid exfoliates old cells, debris and oil from inside pores.
  • MIXED FRUIT ACID COMPLEX - Alpha Hydroxy Acids rid skin of dead surface cells, smooth rough texture, even skin tone and discoloration left from blemishes.
  • PANADOXINE - A Vitamin B6 derivative, helps control oil and reduce shine, without drying skin; reduces pore size giving skin a refined, smooth texture.
  • PROPOLIS EXTRACT - Super hero antidote against free radicals, provides natural anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties.
You basically roll this over your oily/problem areas after washing your face and before putting your moisturizer on, and it keeps you from getting oily. Let me tell you, it's been keeping me oil free all day long. That's pretty hard to do! I'm interested to use this when it starts getting warmer here so that I can test it in the heat! For now, I'm pretty impressed with it!

This is the Pro-Longevity Cream for Normal to Oily skin.
You get 30mL in the jar, which is a frosted glass and just looks nice on my vanity. At $85 this is very expensive for the amount that you get. That is why it's a must to get it on Hautelook when they go on sale if you are interested, because this stuff really is good. You only need a small amount, and it comes with a little spatula to keep everything sanitary. It has an amazing scent, like light perfume and cucumber, and absorbs right into the skin. Here is a list of the benefits:
  • WRINKLE REDUCTION – A potent anti-wrinkle / skin densifying treatment, called Total Pro-Longevity Peptide, is formulated at the ‘maximum level for optimum performance’.
  • MOISTURE CAPTURE – Beet Root Extract raises hydration levels, making skin soft, moist and supple.
  • OIL BALANCING – Chinese Peony decreases sebum production, while soothing skin; gently mattifies skin and reduces shine, without causing dehydration.
  • BLEMISH CLEARING & REFINED SKIN TEXTURE – Specialized peptide targets oily, blemished skin; helps reduce acne-causing bacteria, inflammation and the redness that ensues; reduces breakouts and prevents future eruptions.
This makes my skin feel really nice and hydrated, and isn't greasy or oily at all. Another product that has surprised me!

Next is the Line-Less Sensitive Eye Gel.
This intrigued me because it says it is formulated for oil-prone eyelids. That is another huge issue with me, I hate having oily lids. It's a nice gel formula and a little goes a long way. Again, this comes with a tiny spatula to keep everything sanitary. Here are some of the benefits listed on their website:
  • ANTI-INFLAMMATION & REDNESS REDUCTION – Clinically tested Anti-inflammatory Peptide targets cell inflammation to reduce irritation and redness.
  • SOOTHING - Natural plant extracts soothe sensitive eyes and provide antioxidant protection.
  • WRINKLE REDUCTION – Clinically tested Pro-Longevity Peptide is used at maximum levels to re-build collagen, smooth fine lines and crow’s feet.
  • DEEP MOISTURIZATION – Aqua Shuttle, advanced delivery, jettisons moisture into the deepest layers of the epidermis, smoothing fine lines.
It contains no fragrance or colorants and is pH balanced to the pH of human tears. I am very lucky to not have any lines around my eyes yet, but I can tell you I have been using this every night and it's never too early to start using an eye cream/gel!

Last but not least we have the Lip Sugar Exfoliating Treatment.
Again, this comes in a frosted glass jar and includes a little spatula. As with the other products, a little goes a long way. I feel like you get a ton of product with this one that is going to make it last a very long time. It has pretty small sugar granules to exfoliate, and feels oily when you massage it onto your lips. It seems to melt with the warmth of your skin, so it does a good job moisturizing as it exfoliates, which you don't get too often with a lip scrub. I have been using this a lot lately because I have been loving long lasting liquid lipsticks that don't budge, and they can be pretty drying on your mouth. I've also found that since this is oily, it removes those lipsticks pretty well too! Lip polishing benefits include:
  • EXFOLIATING – Natural sugar grains gently buff away dry, peeling skin, polishing lips to a smooth luster.
  • EMOLLIENT – A blanket of botanical oils smooth and soften lips, while sealing moisture to help prevent peeling and vertical lip lines.
  • NOURISHING – Vitamins, minerals, amino acids and antioxidants protect and nourish fragile, exposed lips.
  • COMFORTING – Soothing Chamomile Oil, Licorice Root, Aloe Vera Leaf, Calendula Flower and Comfrey Extracts, comfort fragile, environmentally exposed lips.

So there you have it! These products were sent to me for review purposes and all opinions are my own. If you would like to check out their website, the link is serendipitybeauty.com. I hope you all enjoyed this review, and don't forget to follow my blog to get updated whenever I post something new!
