Milani recently came out with some new things that I was excited to try, so I took advantage of their 30% off sale on their website. The stuff came pretty fast, but look at the plastic case on this quad - it's all dirty! It was sealed so no one touched it, it just looks like it got banged around in the factory or something lol! This is the Fierce Foil Eyeshine in 01 - Venice. They have several different quads, but the blues stood out to me.
The colors you get here are a silvery white, a metallic navy blue, a deep gunmetal with rainbow sparkles, and a metallic teal.
These colors are all super shimmery and pretty, but they have a lot of issues. They are cream shadows, and they never seem to set once you get them on your eye. They crease even with a primer, and don't work that well as a shadow base either. They're all pretty soft, but the teal shade is for some reason much softer than the others, and as soon as you lightly touch it, it just wants to mush everywhere. The only way you can really apply these is with your fingers, which again isn't the greatest. It sucks because these are really pretty - I wish they were a pressed shadow or pigment instead of this cream formula!
Here are some swatches. First up is the silvery white:
This one isn't quite as pigmented as the others, but it is still a nice sparkly icy color.
Metallic navy blue:
Once swatched, it shows silver sparkles.
Gunmetal with rainbow sparkles:
This is my favorite out of the 4 shades. Gorgeous color, super pigmented, I just wish it performed better!
Metallic teal:
Again, this one is wayyyy softer than all the other colors. I found that to be a little strange, but it doesn't affect its performance - it still creases just as badly as the others!
My final thoughts on this: the colors are gorgeous, but the formula sucks! If these were more like the Maybelline Color Tattoos or something, they would be incredible. They just have zero staying power, which makes it something I will never reach for to use in my routine.
