I picked up one sole item from the MAC Heirloom Mix Holiday Collection, and I'm so glad I did! This is one of my new favorite eyeshadow shades. It actually sold out before I could get it on the MAC website, so I ended up getting it on Nordstrom instead. There's so much sparkle and awesomeness in this color, you definitely have to check it out in person because it's unbelievable pretty!
The packaging itself is pretty awesome. It's black, but it has silver sparkles all over it.
Even the box had sparkles on it. To me that's a very fun way to make it holiday packaging without going all red and green!
How do I even go about describing this color?! You will see I took pictures at different angles to try and capture it. That is because in some lights it looks like a navy blue shadow with teal sparkles, and in some it looks like a dark purple shadow with purple sparkles. It's like everything is color-shifting in this and I love it!
Like I said, this is really hard to capture in a picture, but look at how pretty that is!! This is the first time I've ever tried one of their pressed pigments, and I was very happy with it. The texture is nice - it's very pigmented, not super creamy feeling but not dry, either. It applies and blends nicely without fallout. Definitely love this formula!
Again, trying to catch the different colors. In the bottom swatch you can definitely see teal and pink glitter. It's like a rainbow of colors depending what angle you look at it from!
All in all, this was a huge win for me. Very glad I decided to pick it up, as I almost didn't grab anything from the holiday collections. This is a very unique shade and I don't really have anything else like it out of all the eyeshadows I have. I have already used it a bunch since I got it, and I'm sure I'll be getting more use out of it as well!
I show a live swatch in this video as well if you would like to see:

That looks so pretty! I need to expand my eye shadow collection and get practicing different looks, there are so many to try, I get overwhelmed! :p x
ReplyDeletehaha I need to stop buying shadows because I have way too many - I think that's the worst part of my makeup addiction!
