Last year the Ambient Lighting Palette was one of the most talked about holiday palettes, and for good reason. That thing has become one of my most-used makeup products, and it even became a permanent product in the Hourglass line. Well this year they have a beautiful blush palette, and it is available on sephora.com for V.I.B. Rouge members right now, which means it should be available to everyone else soon! Let's talk about how absolutely beautiful this is ...
The packaging matches last year's Ambient Lighting Palette, only that one was a deep brown and this one is more of a gold shade. Still picks up fingerprints like crazy, but it's pretty to look at so I don't mind!
You get 3 blushes that are each 3.3g. The full size blushes are 4.2 g.
The shades from left to right are Luminous Flush, Incandescent Electra (which is a limited edition shade), and Mood Exposure. I almost bought Mood Exposure a while back, so I'm glad I didn't - when I heard this palette was coming out, I held off buying any more of their blushes because I wasn't sure which ones would be in here!
Luminous Flush is a champagne rose blush with Luminous Light Ambient Lighting powder swirled in.
I tried to get separate swatches - first Luminous Light, then the blush shade, and then the 2 swirled together:
Incandescent Electra is a cool peach blush with Incandescent Light swirled in.
Incandescent Light, then the blush shade, then the 2 together:
Mood Exposure is a soft plum blush with Mood Light swirled in.
Mood Light, the blush shade, and the 2 swirled together:
Just like with the Ambient Lighting Powders, these blushes are silky smooth. I'm not even kidding, they're the SMOOTHEST blushes I've ever touched. They blend beautifully, they're gorgeous colors, I just can't say enough nice things about them. I'm sure that this will eventually become a permanent item just like last year's Ambient Lighting Palette did, because it's just too pretty to NOT keep around!
At $58 it is pricey, but you are getting 3 shades and they are REALLY high quality blushes. I am not disappointed in the palette at all, especially because all 3 of these are colors that I will get a lot of use out of! I may have to pick up another of these for my grandma as a Christmas present, so I hope it sticks around for a while and doesn't sell out!
