I could have sworn I reviewed the 3 of these that I had already, but since I guess I never did, I will do all 4 in one post! Sephora recently bundled the Kat Von D Shade Shifter Shadows in the colors Love Letter and On The Road into an almost 2-for-one deal, you can get both of them for $18 when they are individually sold for $16. Now, I already had On The Road, but Love Letter was the only one out of the 4 shades that I didn't have. I figured it was worth grabbing the 2 pack, as I have a giveaway I'm saving stuff for and On The Road can be added to that! So, on to the review!
Let's talk about Love Letter first. This is the one I put off buying because out of all of them, it is the least color-shifting. I knew I'd get it eventually, and it's a really pretty shade! It is a deep plummy purple that has a slight pink sheen to it.
Stockholm is a gorgeous baby blue that has a pinky lavender shift to it:
These shades are really hard to capture in photos - hopefully you can see a bit of the purplish sheen that this one has!
Devotion is an orangey copper that has a green shift to it:
Again, hard to capture the color shift!
Last but not least we have On The Road, which is a reddish brown that has a green shift:
All four shades are smooth and richly pigmented, like most of Kat's shadows are. The cool thing is that you can use these wet or dry - believe me, they are intense enough dry so I rarely use them wet! But, if you wanted to, you definitely can without worrying about ruining a part of the shadow, because they are meant to be used that way.
Love Letter and Stockholm have a very subtle color shift to them, but Devotion and On The Road are like "whoa!" as soon as you apply them, both very cool shades. I hope this post was helpful to anyone curious about the shadows!
