One of the new items from Hard Candy that I hadn't heard anything about yet were the new neon liquid liners - there weren't many colors to choose from, but I picked up the purple one called Black Light because who doesn't like a good purple liner?
I have actually never tried any of the Hard Candy liquid liners before, so this is my very first one. It has an average brush tip, not my favorite for applying liquid liner but I usually use my bent liner brush to apply liquid liners of any sort anyway, so the brush isn't really a big issue for me.
The product looks slightly shimmery when wet, but as you can see in the second picture when it's dry, it looks pretty matte, and quite bright.
You do have to apply a coat, let it dry, and do another coat for best results. In these pictures, the top swatch is one pass and the bottom swatch is two.
I need to mention that this stuff is a HUGE pain to get off - even scrubbing at it with makeup wipes doesn't work well. Take that as good or bad - some people like a long lasting liner, some don't! I believe this was $6, so it's a pretty good deal for a nice little colored liquid liner.
