Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser

I always hate writing bad reviews, but if it can help some people from having a hassle with a product, then it is well worth it! And I have a feeling I'm going to be in the minority with this one because everyone seems to just loooove this product.

Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser is a "blurring" gel, which means it is supposed to reduce the appearance of your visible pores. 

It just comes in a squeeze tube - the packaging is super cute as I am a sucker for pink and blue together.

The product is a thick, clear gel.

Now, I have oily skin as you know if you've followed me for a bit. It's not really an issue with this product, as I find that it doesn't affect my oilyness. That is a good thing. The bad thing is that I absolutely cannot use this as a primer no matter how I try it. Any makeup I apply on top of it just wants to slide around and blend away! Whether it be foundation, concealer, blush - everything just slides off. I've tried applying it very lightly, more heavily, everything. I've found the only way that I can use this product is if I want to throw it on and head out the door without any face makeup at all.

Even then, I don't see a huge difference in my pores at all, so it's not even worth it to me to bother with it. My "problem pores" are on my nose/upper cheek area. Here is a picture of my bare cheek:

And then here it is with Baby Skin applied:

I mean, maybe a LITTLE bit less noticeable, but no big difference that I can see.

If it works for you, please feel free to leave a comment and let me know - maybe I'm doing something wrong but I have tried everything! I just don't get how so many people raved about this and it doesn't seem to do a damn thing but make your makeup slide off! :D
