Covergirl Bombshell Volume Mascara

No comments :
I got the Covergirl Bombshell Volume mascara in Very Black when soap.com was having a 30% off sale on Covergirl products. Now, because I ordered this and hadn't seen it in person yet, I had no idea how absolutely HUGE it is! Have a look:
This is just comparing it to a normal size mascara tube, the Maybelline One by One.
As you can see, it's considerably larger and not very makeup bag-friendly. As in, it's going to take up a lot of space!

The mascara has 2 "steps" so it's double ended. The packaging is big and bulky enough, nevermind the fact that because it's double-ended, the wands are super short and hard to maneuver. Really don't know what they were thinking with this one!

The step 1 end looks like regular LashBlast:
It's just plastic wand with the tiny rubbery bristles. I never liked this type because the end of it is so blunt that it doesn't allow you to get the tiny lashes at the inner corners of your eyes.

The step 2 end is your average mascara wand (similar to Wet n Wild's MegaPlump, Revlon's Lash Potion, etc.)
This one has a more narrow tip, so it helps you to get those inner corner lashes that you miss with the first wand.

Together, both ends make your lashes look nice but the packaging is problematic and too much of a hassle in my opinion. I can achieve the same look with one of my other mascaras instead of having to mess with a way-to-big tube and way-too-short mascara wands. This was a big disappointment for me, they really missed the mark with this one. If you're curious and want to try it, I would DEFINITELY wait until you see it on sale because at around $10, it's totally not worth it. Hope this review was helpful!!
