Coastal Scents Bionic Flat Top Buffer Brush

This brush is the Coastal Scents Bionic Flat Top Buffer which is only $6.95 and, in my opinion, super high quality. This was my first time getting ANYTHING from Coastal Scents, but I had heard good things about their brushes. The reason I picked this one up is because I had almost bought the IT Cosmetics flat top buffer that looks just like this and is something like $48. I couldn't bring myself to spend that on one brush! So I figured I'd look around online, and came across this one that looked just like it, for just $6.95.

I could tell just by the pictures of it online that it looked soft, but was worried that it would shed. It doesn't! Actually, the only thing I find wrong with this brush is that it's a little misshapen from being in its plastic packaging and hasn't regained its shape since washing it several times, but it's really no biggie.

The bristles are extremely dense, which is what I wanted in this brush. It blends out powder foundation beautifully - I have been using it with my Kat Von D Lock It Powder Foundation. You just have to be careful with it - because it is so dense, it picks up a LOT of product. I don't recommend using this one for applying blush - for buffing it out, yes, but not for applying!

Here's a view of the bristles - you can definitely tell this is a soft brush! It feels great and this was definitely a wise purchase - I'm glad I went with this one!
