LORAC Rockin' Red Hot 3D Liquid Lustre Set

No comments :
This is a pretty exciting set for anyone who enjoys the LORAC Liquid Lustres. Not only does it include 3 limited edition shades, but it is only $28 for 4 full sized containers! It also gives you a lot more options look-wise, since normally LORAC only has the Diamond shade (the first one in this set) and a gold one.
This is a huge steal at $28 seeing as how one normally retails for $16. It's like you're only paying $7 a piece for them. Craziness! LORAC seems to have amazing deals when it comes to holiday sets (you will see me talk about a few more soon). But let's get on to the review so you can all decide whether or not you need this! I actually ordered this off of beauty.com because Sephora didn't have it, although they do have some of the other "Rockin' Red Hot" sets.

The first color is a permanent one that LORAC normally carries, called Diamond. It looks white until you look closely and see all the sparkles! It is described as a white gold, which I don't think of it is. When it hits the light you can see green, gold, and pink shimmer.

This is a concentrated droplet of it:
And here it is spread out:

Platinum:
This one is a metallic gunmetal with multi-colored shimmer. I have been loving this one for dark night time looks/smokey eyes.

Amethyst:
This one alone drove me to by this set - it's purple and it's awesome! It is a very deep purple with gold, pink and purple shimmer. I use this with every purple eye look I do lately.

The last one is Topaz:
This one is a copper with gold, green and pink shimmer. This one looks awesome with gold/neutral eye looks.

Since I got these, I've become re-obsessed with the liquid lustres. I think the normal line should have more than just the 2 colors! They are very liquidy and you HAVE to give them a good shake every time you use them, but other than that they are very easy to work with. I find these becoming my go-to product for when I want to add glitter to my looks, because it's so much easier than messing with loose glitter and glitter adhesive.

Granted the glitter is EXTREMELY fine in these, but they can be built up, You could use them on your lids alone but I would recommend building them up slowly, letting each layer dry so that it doesn't crease or ball up in one area of your eye because they are so liquidy. The way I use them is I choose the best color for my eye look, and pat a tiny drop of it wherever I want glitter on my lid. They also work well as inner corner highlights. Just be aware that with the darker colors, if you use them over a lighter eyeshadow it is going to effect the color of the shadow itself instead of just giving a shimmer effect!

I think that for $28 this set is a steal and an awesome holiday gift! Check out the colors in action here:
