Color Raves: Pink

No comments :
The next installment in my "Color Raves" series is a big one for me: PINK! This one is going to include blushes, lipsticks and eyeshadows. I truly chose only my favorites because if I didn't this would be one hell of a long post!
This first blush is from the Urban Decay Anarchy Face Case, and it is called Quickie. It's a bright, matte pink that is matte without being chalky.
I've dealt with several blushes this color before, and they were all chalky. This one is great and blends perfectly.

Then we have a Sephora Microsmooth Baked Blush in Fuchsia Flushed.
This is somewhat two-toned but the 2 colors really aren't that different from one another.
It gives a really subtle pink shimmer but is very pigmented for a baked product, so a little goes a long way!

This blush is from Maybelline NY, I believe it was from the spring collection this year. It's called Wild Blossom:
This one is pretty shimmery, definitely one that you can get away with wearing by itself with no highlight!
I just love the color of this one - it's got almost a lavender tone to it in certain lights and is so pretty.

The last blush on the list is a Kat Von D Everlasting Face Shaper Blush in the color Love Song:
This one is a bright pink with gold shimmer. I love her blushes because you get a ton of product but they are so pigmented that you only need a little - this will last me ages!!
Though the gold shimmer looks like a lot in the pan, it really translates nicely when blended out.

Now onto eyeshadows. The first is an Urban Decay Deluxe Shadow in the color Sting:
This is a deep shimmery pink. For the longest time this was my only good pink shadow!
Though they sadly no longer make the Deluxe Shadows in their cool graphic packaging, this will always be one of my favorites.

Next is a Hot Topic baked shadow that doesn't have a name but I needed to mention it:
This is another shimmery pink.
As long as you use this one with a base, it has excellent color payoff, especially for a cheap eyeshadow!

This is a Concrete Minerals Pro Matte shadow in Hi-Fi:
This color is an extremeeeeeely bright, hot pink!
For some reason whenever I photograph this color, it picks up hints of shimmer. But it always looks matte in person! The Concrete Minerals Pro Mattes are insanely pigmented and I love them, but this one does stain a little bit.

Next are some shadows that are in palettes. This one is from Kat Von D's Mi Vida Loca palette and it's called No Regrets:
It's a shimmery, rosey pink.
Nicely pigmented like all KVD shadows and absolutely gorgeous.

Sugarpill's Dollipop from the Sweetheart Palette had to be included among my faves, or course!
It is a matte hot pink, and probably the most pigmented out of all of my pressed shadow pinks!
That is just one swipe - insane. I fell in love with Sugarpill when I first ordered from them - and this color was a good part of the reason!

Last for shadows we have Urban Decay's Junkshow (this is in the Anniversary Palette):
This is a gorgeous pink with violet shift.
LOVE it. Urban Decay's shadows have always been awesome but the reformulated ones are just 10x better than ever!

And where would we be without pink lip products? I'll start my list with Urban Decay's Anarchy Lip Pencil:
This is my go-to pencil for bright pink looks.
It's just a matte hot pink that lasts for hours and makes any bright pink lipstick look better and last longer!

Then there's the Urban Decay Super Saturated High Gloss Lip Color in Crush:
This is a super-glossy hot pink, long lasting lipstick in crayon form that I love pairing with the Anarchy lip pencil - it makes a hot pink lip that lasts for most of the day.
Such a perfect color!!

This is the Maybelline Colorsensational Vivid in Fuchsia Flash:
This one is the supposed dupe for MAC's Candy Yum-Yum.
The Vivids lipsticks are extremely pigmented and this one is no objection. Totally opaque and creamy!

Next is the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Cherish:
This is a pale, glossy pink that has been one of my favorites for simple lips.
It's nice and glossy, long lasting, and perfect for when you don't know what color to wear!

And then we have the new Revlon Matte Balm in Showy:
This one is a bright matte pink.
This is the only matte lip product I've tried thus far that feels creamy and nice on the lips - it's pretty amazing. The only downside is that the matte balms tend to gather in your lip lines after a while.

You guys KNOW this would be on the list: the Kat Von D Everlasting Love Liquid Lipstick in Backstage Bambi:
Another crazy hot pink, of course...
I will never be able to express how awesome I think the KVD liquid lipsticks are - they are the longest lasting lipstick you will ever try. EVER!

Next is a L'Oreal laLaque in the color Lacquer-ized:
This is such a unique pink - it's a bubblegum pink that looks lavender in certain lights.
These are already gone from stores so I'm hoping they weren't limited edition. I really love this color and hope L'Oreal will bring them back at some point.

Lastly we have an OCC Lip Tar in the color Nylon:
This is a straight up neon pink.
I believe this color was a Sephora exclusive color, meaning you could only purchase it there. Nonetheless it is gorgeous and another one of my faves!

I hope you guys enjoyed the Pink Color Raves! Look for more colors to come soon.
