Rimmel BB Cream 9-in-1 Skin Perfecting Super Makeup

No comments :
I recently received a prize pack of Rimmel goodies from Influenster, and the Rimmel BB Cream was included. They actually included 3 shades - Light, Medium, and Medium/Dark. The closest match for me was light, so that is the one I'm reviewing.

This products claims to prime, moisturize, minimize pores, conceal, cover, smooth, mattify, brighten, and help protect, and claims to last all day. I hate to say it, but those are LIES!! lol

I hated it as soon as I put it on, dead serious. It is pigmented in the tube so you know it has some color to it - it does cover redness and imperfections pretty well, I'll give it that. But it grabs onto dry spots which drives me nuts. This time of year I tend to get dry around my nose and a little on my forehead, and this magnifies it by making those dry areas stand out. If you have naturally dry skin you will HATE this. And if you have oily skin you will hate it even more! Which brings me to my next complaint...

It does NOT mattify. I looked shiny as soon as I applied it, and that didn't go away. With my oily skin it made my face look disgustingly greasy by the end of the day. Also, it didn't last all day because at the end of the day it looked like there was no makeup left at all, just oil. I desperately ran to the bathroom to wash my face because I don't think I've ever felt so greasy before. Just a big fail product for me this time!

The consistency is pretty thick which made me think it might work pretty well for me at first, but I was wrong! The thicker ones usually seem to work well for my skin. This one definitely does not. It smells like sunscreen, but it does have an SPF of 25 so it's expected.

This is a shot I took a few hours after applying it and was looking shiny. Not a win for me!

I filmed a video that includes the BB Cream here:
