This months' box was a mixed box, so we got a little bit of everything! It's got a fun zebra stripe lid with the Starlooks logo in red.
Even the inside is red tissue paper with gold etching on it. Inside is 3 products and a miniature nail file - also zebra striped to match the box!
The first product is a cream blusher in the color Emphasize. The cream blushes retail for $17.
This one is a very dark burgundy color. You can blend it out to make it work for any skintone, but you have to be careful because their blushes are VERY pigmented. If you saw my HD Blush swatch from a few boxes ago, you know what I mean!
It's a nice smooth consistency and blends nicely. It can also be used as a cream shadow, which I think I may get more use out of it that way, because this is a pretty dark shade for my fair skin. Hopefully I'll get a nice tan this summer and it will be perfect!
On the left is a heavy swatch, on the right it is blended out so you can see how sheer you can make it.
Next is the Brow Shader Compact. This retails for $21 and comes with 4 shades - a cream for highlighting, a brown, blonde, and black. So basically any color you would need for your brows.
I've found that the brown one, the one I would most use, has a drier texture than the other colors and doesn't seems as pigmented.
Here are swatches of all 4 from left to right: cream, brown, blonde, black. Again, the brown looks/feels dry but when I use it with an angled liner brush (the palette itself comes with a nice mini one) it seems to work fine when filling in my brows. So maybe it's just a fluke that that one seems to be a weird consistency.
And lastly, we have my favorite thing in the box - a Pigment Luster in the color Cinnamon Toss. The pigments retail for $17. I was hoping one of the pigments would come in a Starbox sooner or later because I've been excited about trying one out!
It comes in a little jar like their glitters do, with a stopper and a small hole at the top to dispense the product from.
The color itself reminds me a lot of MAC's Old Gold pigment. It is gorgeous and super pigmented - a little goes a long way! It is also easy to blend, which is always nice when you have a highly pigmented product - you can make it as bold as you want.
I hope you guys enjoyed the reviews/swatches of the products in this months' box! As always, you can sign up for your own monthly box at starlooks.com.
