L'Oreal Colour Caresse Shine Stains have been gaining a lot of hype for being very close to the YSL glossy stains. Here I have 4 colors to review for you...
Pink Perseverance – A light baby pink
Pink Rebellion – A hot pink
Infinite Fuschia – A deep raspberry
Eternally Nude – A medium nude
They twist-off at the end and here is what the applicator looks like:
These are more of a gloss than
anything. There is very little color payoff with the lighter colors –
which is why I got the Infinite Fuschia, I wanted to see if the
darker ones made a difference. They definitely do, because that one
stained my hand when I swatched it! Aside from the fact that the
light ones don't really show up on your lips, they are all very
moisturizing and feel great! They never quite dry, so you don't get
that drying feeling of normal lip stains, and the moisturizing
feeling lasts a very long time. They are slightly tacky, but nothing
like an overly-sticky lipgloss or anything like that. The scent is
similar to many other glosses that L'Oreal have released in the past.
I would say I am a little disappointed that these don't give a better
color payoff, because they would be AMAZING if they did! But I like
topping them over the Colour Caresse Lipsticks, which I absolutely
love. They seem to help lock the lipstick color down so that it lasts
even longer. If you are looking for color from these stains,
definitely go for the darker shades – I know there were a few reds
and other darker browns and whatnot that would stain just like the
Infinite Fuschia color does!
