Peppermint Bark Fudge

No comments :
It's the holiday season and I love nothing more than to cook up little treats to share with everyone. I wanted to share my favorite with you guys. This is a recipe I came up with a few years ago when another thing I was trying to make got goofed up. Rather than throw everything away, I turned it into something else - and ever since, everyone always asks me to make it around Christmas time! I recorded a video a while back and figured I would post it on here for anyone who hasn't seen it. If you love fudge and peppermint, you will love this easy, quick, and delicious treat!

In the video I made a double batch so I just doubled every ingredient.
Ingredients for a single batch:
1 bag semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 tbsp vanilla extract
1 bag white chocolate chips
crushed peppermint candies or candy canes (as much as you like)
peppermint extract to taste (usually 1 tbsp)

Directions:
In a large saucepan, heat chocolate chips, condensed milk, and vanilla extract over low-medium heat. Keep stirring until smooth. Spray a flat pan of your choice with non-stick cooking spray (you need very little). Pour the fudge mixture out into pan and let set in fridge while you make the peppermint part. Over low heat in a saucepan, melt the white chocolate chips. Stir in the peppermint candies/candy canes and peppermint extract. Spoon onto the fudge and spread out to coat it evenly. Place back into fridge until hardened. I like to turn out the whole thing onto a sheet of aluminum foil and cut it all up into bite-sized pieces so everyone can share!
