Lime Crime Diamond Dew in Pixie

No comments :
The Lime Crime Diamond Dew Liquid Glitter Eyeshadows were very intriguing to me, so I knew I had to try at least one. I went for Pixie, which is a pale purply pink with a greenish duochrome. Lots of sparkle and dimension to this color!

I have a love/hate relationship with this product. The outer packaging is a cool iridescent box, similar to the packaging that their Hi-Lite palettes come in. The component itself is a little jar with a doefoot-like applicator.
The applicator has an indentation in the middle, that really doesn't make a difference. While the product doesn't crease, it doesn't really work well if you're just using it on its own. It's very sheer and shows up best over darker colors. Of course I can only speak for this shade, but there's no "dark" shades of this product yet, as they're all meant to be toppers.

I find that I need to use my fingers, otherwise the applicator just wants to wipe off any shadow that I'm applying this on top of. If you lightly tap it where you want it with your finger, you're good. I do love the sparkle that this gives, so it is pretty! It dries down pretty quickly, but be careful not to open your eye all the way until it does, otherwise it will transfer to the top of your eye, where you don't want it (especially if your eyes are hooded!)

The thing I dislike most is the way it's packaged. The little wand is not going to be able to reach all of the product, so once it stops picking up, I'm going to have to remove that rubber stopper to get to the rest of the product, which I'm sure will cause it to dry up sooner than it should. The concept behind this product is great, I just wish they had done different packaging. Honestly, a squeeze tube would have been better.

Here's a couple of swatches to show how gorgeous this is:
I think I'm going to try it as a super sparkly highlighter on my cheekbones, because it would definitely work well for that! I love that it doesn't crease - I've worn it all day long on several occasions and haven't had any issues yet.
