I have been obsessed with these glittery lip toppers lately, so when I heard that Kat Von D was coming out with her Glimmer Veils, I was super excited! I decided to pick up Thunderstruck, which is one of the colors I figured would look good over ANY color lipstick.
If you're getting Thunderstruck thinking it's the same as its eyeshadow counterpart, it's not. The eyeshadow is sort of a pink iridescent duochrome, where the lip topper is more of a peachy gold with gold and pink sparkle in it. Still gorgeous, just not the same color at all.
I love the packaging because you can see the color right through the name - I appreciate that, because if I have more than one color of the same product, it always makes it easier to find the one you want when the color is easily seen from the outside.
The doe foot applicator is large, super soft, and has a bit of a dip in it to hug your lips. While I like it, it is a little large to get very precise with. I usually end up using a lip brush to get the inner corners of my lips.
The formula is AWESOME. There is no scent to it at all. It feels very wet at first when you apply it, but dries down pretty quickly and sets to a smudge-proof, comfortable finish. I get several hours of wear with this and find I only need to touch up if I've eaten something oily. I LOVE this over cranberry lipsticks, and I think that is going to be my go-to fall lip!
