I recently purchased one of the 3 piece sets that ColourPop released when they came out with their crystal collection. I hadn't heard much about any of the items before I saw them on the site, and by the time I got to them a lot of the singles were sold out, so I picked up this 3 piece set. I was super excited for the liquid highlighters, and am hoping to grab some more in the future because I LOVE this one! This 3 piece set was $18, which is a pretty good deal.
The first item included was the Crystal Setting Spray. This comes in a glass bottle, which I like but at the same time I'm a little worried about dropping it and breaking it because I'm a klutz! The spray doesn't have much of a scent to it, but it does leave your face feeling super refreshed after using it. I have been spraying it on myself even when I'm not wearing makeup, just because it feels so good! I don't find that it makes my makeup last any longer than usual, but it is a nice refresher for these summer months.
Then we have the Crystal Lip Balm, which I ended up liking SO much more than I thought I was going to! Seriously, I'm impressed with this little guy!
It looks like a white lipstick, but it has an opalescence to it. When applied to the lips, it gives them a purple sheen. It has a slight citrus scent and is super moisturizing!
Last but not least, we have the liquid highlighter:
This also comes in a glass bottle that has a little pump - and believe me, a little pump of this goes a long way! It's incredibly pigmented, which I wasn't expecting because it didn't look like it would be on the ColourPop website.
As you can see, you can definitely sheer it out. This gives such a beautiful purply glow to your skin, it's unreal. When you first apply it, it definitely has that silicone feel to it, but it dries down and stays put. I really love the formula of this, especially since it works well on my oily skin!
So there you have it - a little look at some of the new items ColourPop has released (and since writing this post, they've also released concealers and brushes that I'm going to have to check out - wheee!)
