Urban Decay Afterglow Blushes in Rapture and Quiver

No comments :
I bought these 2 Urban Decay Afterglow blushes when they first launched in April, and have been so behind on reviews that it's taken me till now to get this up! However, that also means I've gotten a lot of use out of them and let me tell you - I am in LOVE!

I think the packaging is cool, but the "UD" on the front isn't as see-through as I'd like so that I can see the color better. I have just been storing them upside down because there is a color sticker on the back of them to let you know what shade is inside. It's easier to see them that way when you're going through your stash! Also, it doesn't have a mirror inside the compact, which isn't a huge deal to me but it might be a disappointment to those of you who like to carry a blush around in your purse for touch-ups. The compact itself is magnetic, which I always like when it comes to compacts.

This color is Rapture. It's a gorgeous mauvey-pink that has a very very slight gold sheen to it. This is a satin finish with hardly any shimmer.
Here is a heavy swatch on the left and a blended out swatch on the right. Hopefully you can see the slight sheen it has to it. This is one of my new favorite everyday blushes - it's so natural looking and gorgeous.

Next we have Quiver, which is one of the crazier colors. This is a bright matte pinky-red.
It is super pigmented so you have to use it with a light hand, but it's a really pretty and unique blush color!

So the formula on these? Oh, they are wonderful!! Even though one is a matte and one is a satin, they both have the same creamy, blendable, soft feel to them. They are very pigmented as you can see from the swatches, and the best part about these is the staying power. It seems like they wear like a stain because they do not budge all day long! $26 for these is a steal in my opinion because they outperform a lot of other blushes that I have that cost much more than that!

If you haven't tried one of these babies yet, pick one up. Seriously. You will not regret it!
