NARS Virtual Domination Cheek Palette

No comments :
This thing haunted me, you guys. You have no idea how many times I went back and forth between, "I'm going to get this," and, "I don't need this." When the Sephora V.I.B. sale came around, I finally bit the bullet and just ordered it. I have the Guy Bourdin palette from last year and love it, so I figured I would add another cheek palette to my collection. The big seller for me with this one was that it had blushes from the Final Cut collection that I had really wanted but never picked up. Even though it's got Laguna which seems to be in every face palette that NARS puts out, it was still a pretty good deal for me.

The packaging on this is lovely. Very heavy duty, and the design makes me think winter without it being full on snowflakes, you know? It's got a white shattered look to it, which I thought was pretty neat.
Inside you get a highlighter, 3 blushes, and a giant Laguna bronzer!

Miss Liberty is a sparkly peach with silver glitter:
It's very sheer once blended out, but I like this because you can dust it over any of the matte shades to give them some shimmer. It's not much of a highlighter for me, but I do like it to amp up the other blushes in the palette

Deep throat is a deep peach with a hint of gold sheen:
This one was also in the Guy Bourdin palette, but it is one of my favorites so I don't mind having a backup. To me, it's a darker version of Orgasm.

Sex Fantasy is a pale lavender pink matte:
I've been wanting this blush since the Final Cut collection came out. Not sure why I kept putting it off, but I'm glad I did because it made me love this palette that much more! This is very light, but gives such a cool toned wintery glow to your cheeks. I love it!

Final Cut is a matte coral:
This one is super pigmented and you need to be careful with it so you don't overdo it. That being said, it's a really nice bright coral shade which I can never have too many of!

Laguna is a slightly shimmery golden tinged bronzer - I'm sure everyone has seen this a billion times because NARS loves putting it in everything!
I like this bronzer a lot - I'm not usually one for shimmery bronzer (to be honest I don't use bronzer much at all) but this one works well for me. It's not orangey, and it's light enough that it works for my pale complexion.

Just to mention before I forget, the blushes in this palette are all .15 oz. and the bronzer is .35 oz.

All in all, I think this is a great little palette to have. All the colors blend nicely and I like all of them! The only thing I would say is to go light handed with Final Cut because it is so bold and pigmented, but other than that this is a pretty perfect face palette in my book!
