Revlon Colorburst Matte Balms in Sultry and Showy

No comments :

Saved the best for last in my "new lip products" reviews! These are the Revlon Colorburst Matte Balms and I have to say I have been LOVING these. The Lacquer Balms are nice too (I find them pretty similar to the Urban Decay Super Saturated High Gloss Lip Colors, just slightly less pigmented) but for all you fellow matte lip color lovers out there, these are where it's at!

I picked these up in 2 colors - Showy and Sultry - and believe me, there will be more! I just had to limit myself because these weren't on sale (of course when I want to buy a certain brand, it's never on sale at the drugstore) so I will patiently be awaiting a 40% off sale on these because there seems to be 40% off Revlon sales quite often!

Sultry is a deep nude-pink color that is several shades darker than my natural lip color and is pretty great for the fall.

Here it is with and without flash - it looks dramatically different in different lighting.

And here it is on the lips!

Showy is a nice bubblegum pink. Of COURSE I had to get a bright pink!!

Again, with and without flash.

And a shot of it on the lips.

The only downside I've found to these is they tend to gather in your lip lines after a while. It's easily remedied by either rubbing your lips together, or applying a bit more.

The formula is smooth and creamy and actually feels nice on your lips - I have not experienced these drying my lips out at all even after hours of wear. They last an insane amount of time and even though they're not called "stains" they may as well be! They also have that peppermint scent to them like the Lacquer Balms and the original Balm Stains.

I definitely think these are right up there with the new leMatte colors from L'oreal, and with the Matte Balms you have wayyyy more of a color selection!

You can see the video I did about these here:
