I've been meaning to get this review up for a couple weeks now, but moving got in the way of everything and I couldn't get it done when I wanted to. So here it is now, the July Starbox review.
This box had a very neutral/summer feel to it.
The first thing I saw that I was really excited for was another one of their brushes. This is the "Sculpt & Blush Brush." It retails for $22. It is a super soft, angled face brush that is much like my favorite blush brush I've been using lately. This is wonderful for contouring and blush, and even for dusting on a highlight!
The next thing is the St. Tropez Eyeshadow Palette. This retails for $41. A couple of the shades look very similar to the ones in the quad I got in my first ever Starbox.
There is a champagne, a gold, a peach and a brown that all are shimmery, as well as a matte black. The shimmers are pretty pigmented but the black is just okay. I find that a lot of their mattes tend to be like that - they apply patchy or not very pigmented, while their shimmer shades are excellent.
Last but not least we have the ultimate Body Bronze set. This is a half size set, the full size retails for $24. It comes with a body bronzing pigment called "Pennywise" and a packet of Quince body butter with Chamomile and Lavender.
The bronzer itself is a pretty color that I will probably get more use out of as a face bronzer than a body one. It says you are supposed to mix the pigment with the body butter and use it on your legs, which I don't see myself doing very often. To be honest the body butter doesn't smell all that great which is a bummer because it is really thick and moisturizing.
Here is a swatch of the pigment by itself.
Hope you guys enjoyed! You can check out my first impressions video here:
