Revlon Lip Butters: The New Shades!

No comments :
A while back in the spring time I was looking everywhere for the new Revlon Lip Butter colors that had been released in a display. At the time I thought they were limited edition - the only one I ended up getting was Juicy Papaya because when I finally found them at a CVS, that was the only one that hadn't been messed with and smushed into it's cap (Revlon really needs to wrap them in plastic or something!)

So fast forward to summer and now these are popping up in stores' permanent Revlon displays as the new colors for fall. From left to right is Wild Watermelon, Sorbet, and Pink Lemonade.
Now if you recall, the Juicy Papaya one seemed different to me than the regular lip butters. It lacked the vanilla-ish scent that the originals have, and seemed to have a bit of a drier texture. It just wasn't the same smooth feel I was used to with the lip butters, and Sorbet seems to be like that too. Wild Watermelon and Pink Lemonade are nice and smooth, but also don't have that nice vanilla scent - they don't really have a scent at all. I don't know if Revlon has changed their formula and they don't have a scent anymore, as I haven't bought any others from the original line recently, but I'm sure that could be a factor.

Wild Watermelon, Sorbet, Pink Lemonade

As you can see they are all quite sheer. Wild Watermelon is a fun, muted down red for those who enjoy red lips but don't like them too bold. Sorbet is my favorite, despite the drier texture - it gives your lips a nice pop of pink. Pink Lemonade is probably the one you can skip unless you desperately need every lip butter they make - it's pretty much clear unless you put a million coats of it on your lips and even then it doesn't give much color. It looks like a nice nude-pink in the tube but that color doesn't transfer to the lips!

It was nice to see some new colors added to the Lip Butters line, worth checking out if you're looking for some new ones!

I talk about the new lip butters here:
