My Sephora had a bunch of KVD stuff on clearance, one being a few of her lipsticks marked down to $8. I'm not sure if this is everywhere, as there were also palettes on clearance but they are still full price on the website. I think it's one of those cases where they were clearing out to make room for her new stuff (blushes, shadow trios) and just marked the product down to make room. I happened to go at the right time I guess!
So the Painted Love Lipsticks were the first ones the Kat Von D line came out with. They are smooth and creamy, and quite pigmented. I have the color Agatha which is a pale nude that I love, and a few others from her mini lipstick collections. For some reason I don't remember seeing this one. Maybe it just never caught my eye, but I figured it was a pretty spring/summer color and marked down from $19, you can't go wrong.
Here's a shot with flash - the flash makes it look more orange than it is. The best way I can describe it is a dark coral, if that makes any sense. It's a coral shade, but not a bright coral like you usually see in a lipstick color.
Here's a swatch on my hand - really pretty shade.
And here I was wearing it after I had a balm on my lips - if I wore it alone it would be more matte - most of the Painted Love lipsticks give a matte finish without being too drying, which is nice. I can get a few hours of wear before needing to touch up - these are not as long lasting as her liquid lipsticks, which I'm always raving about, but for a regular lipstick they do just fine.
