Kat Von D Lock-It Tattoo Foundation

I think I've become the go-to Youtuber for Kat Von D reviews, I couldn't tell you how many people asked me if I tried her foundation yet! So I finally went to Sephora to see what shade matched me best (Light 44) and grabbed it - there was only one left!)

I have always had an issue finding a good foundation for me. My skin never seems to agree with them no matter what I do, and they always end up looking worse on me than if I wore no face makeup at all. So I really tend to stray away from them. But I finally wanted to try something other than a drugstore brand foundation, and decided to go all out and try this and review it. I am so glad that I did, because it has made me love foundation!

It comes in a pump bottle, and a little goes a long way. It is a very thick, very full coverage foundation. You need to work fast because it tends to dry quickly. I find that I can even skip concealer with this because it has such great coverage! It blends very nicely, and even though it is so thick, it doesn't feel heavy. In fact, it feels like there's nothing on my face when I wear it. There is no scent to it, so that is great for those of you who are sensitive to makeup smells!

One of the best things about this foundation is that once it's dry, there is no transfer - it won't rub off on clothes or anything. The name "lock-it" really fits because once it's on, it stays! I can wear it all day and by the end of the night it still looks just as flawless and matte as when I first put it on - which is saying a lot because even the Urban Decay mattifying gel won't keep me matte all day. I've tried everything to stay matte all day and so far this is the only stuff that has made that happen for me! 

Another great thing is that because this stuff dries so matte, I never even need a setting powder with it. It never melts off or looks cakey, just makes your skin look amazing! My Grandma even asked me what I had on my face the other day because my skin looked so great. I have finally fallen in love with a foundation and cannot say enough great things about it!!
