The ColourPop Yes, Please Palette sells out every time they put it on the site, but I was lucky enough to grab one before it sold out again! I almost don't want to review it because I'm never sure if they'll bring it back again, but here we go...

You get 12 shades, a good mix of mattes and shimmers, and the palette reminds me a lot of the colors in the Natasha Denona Sunset Palette. This one is tiny though - the pans are smaller than their normal single shadows. At $16 it's not a bad deal, and the shades are all so pigmented that you don't need to use much of them to get maximum color payoff.

These colors are gorgeous! I've been loving this palette because it's so quick to just grab and create a full eye look with. I find that I need to use my finger to get the full color potential out of Butter Cake, but everything else performs great. I've been impressed with ColourPop's shadows every time I get new ones, and I'm excited to see what other palettes they come up with in the future!

I picked up the whole set from the Wet N' Wild Midnight Mermaid Collection - mainly because I was having so many issues with their website the day it went live and just wanted to get in and out before it crashed again - but also because it saves you money if you're wanting a bunch of things from the collection. It was $35 and if you bought everything on its own, it would have been about $59.

The first thing are the 3 metallic liquid liners:

 Sea Symmetry is a green, Sea Dreams is a navy blue, and Trident's Shimmer is a gray.

 I've never been a fan of their liquid liners - they're very sheer and these aren't really metallic like they say they are. You have to layer several coats to get it to be opaque, and the brush isn't the greatest either.

The metallic liquid eyeshadows are AWESOME! These were super exciting to me, because I don't own many makeup items like this.

 Mysterious Nights - Black with silver sparkles

Lara's Necklace - deep green with green and blue sparkles

Moonlight Majesty - blackened purple with pink sparkles

Aquatic Prism - blackened aqua with purple and blue duochrome sparkles

These are all gorgeous, but Aquatic Prism is my favorite! I was bummed that mine doesn't have a stopper in it for some reason, so it's making a mess all over the wand, but it's so pretty I can't stand it! The downside with these is if you wear them all over your lid, they tend to crease and flake off throughout the day. I have been using them more as liquid liners, and they work GREAT for that!

Now, I know I took swatch pictures of the lipsticks, but for some reason right now as I'm writing this, I cannot find them. I'll have to come back to this to post them, but I really want to get this post up today! 

 Coral Crown - metallic copper

Harbor a Crush - metallic berry

Siren's Jewel - metallic deep green

Sea Seduction - metallic navy

The formula on these is the same as the regular Liquid Catsuit lipsticks, and they're seriously my favorite drugstore liquid lipsticks. These last for hours, only really need to be touched up after eating, and are comfortable and not drying.

Last but not least is the highlighting bar, which was the star of this collection and the thing everyone was freaking out over!

 It has that cool mermaid tail pattern stamped into it:

 It's a white gold with a bit of a gray tinge to it, and tiny pink sparkles in it.

Absolutely gorgeous if you use it with a light hand - but go overboard and you get an odd gray-ish cast on your face. 

All in all, this collection was a hit for me. The only thing I don't find myself using is the liquid liners, but I went into it knowing I'm not a fan of them anyway. The whole set is a great deal if you love sparkle and glitter!

Ah, the controversial Subculture Palette! I am going to be completely honest in saying that yeah, this is not the best palette I've ever used, but it's not as horrible as everyone has been saying it is, either. Now keep in mind that I have never used any other Anastasia palette before, not even one of their single eyeshadows, so I don't have much to compare it to. BUT, this isn't "unusable" or anything of the sort.

The first time I laid eyes on pictures of this palette, I knew I wanted it. Mainly because the colors are perfect for fall, and I am fall-obsessed. Then all the horrible reviews started coming out, so I held off a little bit. I honestly wanted it MORE after seeing so many people having issues with it, because I just needed to try it for myself! With a little trial and error, this turned out to be a pretty decent palette.

Before I even get into the swatches, I wanted to say that It is REALLY hard to blend some of the matte shades if you just apply them to your eye right after putting eye primer on. I found that the best way to use them is to put eye primer, then a light matte shade that matches my skintone (or even your face powder would work) and that makes it so much easier to blend these colors on top of it. Granted you shouldn't have to take special steps to use an eyeshadow palette properly, but I've found that to really help and make these shadows perform to their best abilities.

 Cube is the only color in the palette that I really dislike. It swatches kind of patchy/chunky and doesn't blend out nice or pick up well on a brush.

Adorn - metallic brown

All Star - matte cranberry

Mercury - matte taupe

Axis - matte deep teal

Roxy - matte peach

Electric - metallic gold with green shift

Fudge - matte chocolate brown

New Wave - matte pumpkin orange

Untamed - matte forest green

Edge - matte mustard

Rowdy - matte deep plum

I LOVE New Wave. Using it in the crease has become a very everyday thing for me. The closer we get to Halloween, the more I want to wear all orange everything!

My final verdict is that this palette is okay. Yes, you have to work a little differently with the shadows but no, it's not complete crap and unusable. It does have a little kick back if you go in too hard with a brush, but they are very soft shadows. The consistency of them is a lot like LORAC shadows. I remember when I first got my Mega Pro palette, I had to get used to being super careful with them because they're so damn soft, they kick up so much product if you dip a brush in too hard. 

With that said, if you're obsessing over it, just get it. If you can live without it, it's not a huge deal if you don't get it!

The Haze Stack from Melt Cosmetics has to be one of my favorites from them. Just looking at it, it's perfect for both fall AND the holiday season. It's got 4 metal tones - silver, gold, copper, and red. All of them are highly pigmented and metallic!

Indica is an aluminum foil-like silver:

Ganja is a gold that almost has a hint of green tinge to it when you tilt it in certain directions while looking at it in the pan. On the skin, it's straight up gold:

Bogart is a very pretty orangey-copper, but I find that this one is a lot softer and messier than the other 3 shades. You just have to be a little more gentle with this one because it's delicate!

Last but not least is my favorite, Haze. This is a true metallic red:

These are gorgeous, right? All of these swatches were just one quick dip in the pan and one swipe onto my arm. Crazy! I cannot recommend Melt shadows enough. I am not a huge fan of their lipsticks, just because I find them super drying and difficult to apply, but I love love love their shadow stacks!

This highlighting palette from Sleek is one I've had my eye on for a while. Ulta recently started carrying the brand, so this was the first thing I wanted to pick up!

The palette consists of a cream highlighter, 2 baked highlighters, and a powder highlighter.

The formula on all of these is great! The cream is super silky and smooth. The baked ones are soooo incredibly soft and pigmented, and the powder one is as well.

The cream shade is a pale peach:

The first baked shade is a very pale, almost metallic pink:

The powder shade is a pale yellow gold:

And the second baked shade is a pale champagne:

My personal favorite is the pale pink, but these colors are all gorgeous. I don't find myself using the powder one too much, just because the shade is a bit too yellowy for me, but I have used the other shades countless times and love them all! That cream peach gives such an amazing, natural glow when doing a minimal makeup look. And that pink - if you want to shine bright, that is the one for you!!

I am way behind on things I need to review, so if you get bombarded over the next couple days with posts from me, I apologize in advance! This is the ColourPop nail polish in I Wand It That Way.

This shade is more of a glitter topcoat, as it shows up better over other colors and is extremely sheer otherwise. It's got a sparkly pink/orange duochrome iridescence to it.

The brush is average, nothing special to note about it. The formula of the polish is very nice. It's thin, but dries quickly and is easy to work with. You cannot feel any rough glitter in it once it dries - it's completely smooth.

As you can see, it's very plain by itself. I got 3 days of wear out of it before I noticed any chipping (and that was without a topcoat or anything, just on its own!) So to me, that's pretty impressive formula-wise.

Have you tried any of the ColourPop polishes yet? I knew I wanted to pick up at least one to try when they launched, and I am happy with it but might grab one of the more colorful ones next time!
