Scentbird: Monthly Perfume Subscription!

No comments :
Scentbird is a monthly fragrance subscription in which you get a 30 day supply of a designer fragrance each month for $14.95. Today I'm going to talk about my experience with the website and the perfume I received!

When you first join the site, scentbird.com, you take a short quiz to better suit scents to your liking. This helps to customize it a bit more and set you up with fragrances that you are likely to enjoy, based on scents that you already know you like. It was easy to navigate, and the quiz only took a minute or so. At the end it gave me a list of perfumes that I might enjoy (some of which I wrote down so I can look into them as well!) Since I was being sent one to review, I picked one that stood out to me, which was Paco Rabanne's Ultraviolet.

The package was delivered as a small padded envelope, and inside was a card and the fragrance in a spray vial. This is a generous size and is supposed to last 30 days if you were to use it every day. It has a cute little bird logo at the top of the sprayer:

It's a great size to throw in your purse and take with you - it's pretty sturdy and I haven't experienced any leaks with the vial. This scent in particular, since I am horrible at describing perfumes, is described as a refreshing oriental floral fragrance. The notes are:
osmanthus, apricot, coriander, rosewood, violet, pimento, rose, jasmine, Japanese Kinmokusei, patchouli, cedar, sandalwood, vanilla and amber.

It's a pretty complex fragrance and something you can definitely overdo, as it's strong. I can tell you that it DEFINITELY lasts all day! I can put to little sprays on in the morning and still smell it at the end of the day.

I think the subscription service is a great way to try out new perfumes before committing to buying a full bottle. I know that I personally tend to buy perfumes that I love at first but easily get sick of them, so this is a great idea! I am also going to pass this website on to my grandmother, who is a certified perfume addict, even worse than I am. She will LOVE this idea!

I hope you guys enjoyed this review - stay tuned for more!
