Face of the Day Pictorial Featuring Chrislie Formulations!

No comments :
Today I am doing a step-by-step face of the day - the first time I've ever done one of these on here! I was sent a few things from Chrislie Formulations - their Picture Perfect Lashem and Measurable Difference Mascara. They're having a blogger challenge and looking for bloggers to do tutorials using their products, so I will be featuring them today! First, here is my bare face:
Now let's gone on with gettin' dolled up!

The first thing I did was apply the Picture Perfect Lashem around my eye area. This serum-like formula is intended to remove wrinkles and blemishes, and also helps diminish the appearance of crows-feet. I have been blessed with good genetics and don't suffer with wrinkles or anything yet, but they always say it is never too late to start with the skin products!
This stuff feels quite nice - it's cooling on the skin, feels super wet but dries quickly. It almost gives you a little bit of a tightening effect, which is where I think the wrinkle-diminishing factor comes in. I am going to test this product out further and will be back at  a later date with a full review!

After the Lashem dried, I primed my face with the Rimmel Stay Matte primer, and just used my Kat Von D Lock-It Powder Foundation in light 44 with a Coastal Scents flat top buffer brush.
I really love this combo of primer and foundation, especially since it's starting to get warmer - it feels weightless and doesn't bug me as much as a heavier foundation would in warmer weather.

Next I primed my eyelids with Urban Decay Primer Potion.

For eyeshadows today I used the Urban Decay Electric Palette:

I started by putting the silver, called Revolt, on the inner half of both lids:

Then I took the yellow-lime green color called Thrash and blended that into Revolt, covering the outer half of both lids:

Then I took the teal color called Fringe, and blended that into my crease, kind of creating a very soft cut crease above the other colors:

I took the deep purple shade called Urban and blended that into my outer corners and slightly into the crease:

I went back into the Fringe shade with a small smudger brush and smudged that along my lower lash line:

Then I used the Kat Von D Ink! Liner to line my upper lash line and winged it out a bit:

I used Rimmel's Sacndaleyes Liner in Black on my waterline, and went over the Fringe color on my lower lash line. This makes it "black with a hint of teal" that looks nice!

For mascara I used the Measurable Difference Mascara - this is a primer and mascara that gives your lashes a lot of length, volume, and even curls I've noticed!
You first brush on the primer, which is unique because it isn't white like all other lash primers I've tried - it's a clear gel. It is described as brush-on fibers, to give length and add volume to your lashes.
Once it is dry, which only takes a few seconds, you brush on the mascara end and you can noticeably see the difference. I really enjoy this stuff because it doesn't get all clumpy and built-up looking like a lot of the primer/mascara duos can! You can layer more than one coat without it looking clumpy and spidery, and I love that:

For my blush I used the Too Faced Sweethearts Blush in Something About Berry:

And I used MAC's Mineralize Skinfinish in Perfect Topping as my highlight:

For my lip combo I first used Buxom Big & Healthy Lipstick in Marakech:

And topped it with Maybelline Color Whisper in Go Nude for a glossier finish:

And here's the finished look!
Let me know if you guys enjoyed this type of post, I know it's something a little different so if it is a thumbs-up from you, maybe I'll start doing them more often!!
